This lovely one bedroom apartment ( sleeping 2+) was converted from the living accommodation on the ground floor of the original old stone farmhouse and is located in the village of Les Echines - Dessous (alt 1230m), on the sunny side of the valley facing Les Arc. A car is required to access the funicular in Bourg St Maurice (10-12 mins) but it then it is only a short ride (approx 7 mins) to get up to Les Arc. Other Tarantaise resorts are nearby such as La Plagne and La Rosiere, with Tignes and Val D'Isere within an easy reach too.
This is a great value property and much better than your usual seasonal accommodation because it is extremely spacious, nicely decorated and well fitted. It has a bright south facing aspect with a sunny terrace and there are pleasant views of the village to the mountains beyond from both the bedroom and the living room windows. The apartment is accessed by its own external front door (the original front door from this charming old village home) and there is a parking space and a fenced garden so pets will considered on request.
Inside there is lots of charm and the kitchen area is well fitted out with modern oven/hob and dishwasher and it has a hand-made table, big enough to entertain several guests. The living area is open plan to the kitchen and it has a comfy sofa, chair, log burner and a TV/Satellite and DVD player.
The bedroom has a hand crafted double bed along with a single bed and a further camp bed available is available. The bedroom has a mellow old wooden ceiling with beams.
The bathroom is a particular feature with an extraordinary bath set in large alpine stone. There is a separate shower, basin and WC. The apartment also has the bonus of a separate shelved storage area which houses a washing machine.
This is perhaps most suited to a couple seeking privacy as well as a cosy and economical mountain home for the ski season.
The heating is through electric wall heaters.
