With seasonal properties being so expensive, the cheapest way to stay there is in a shared property and we have several shared properties available in the Centre of Val d'Isere.
The shared apartments are not particularly big and it is generally 2 people sharing a 20-25sqm studio. You will get a private room but share the shower / bathroom, separate wc and the kitchen. They are located right in the centre of town just minutes from the slopes.
The kitchenette, generally fitted with a fridge, 2 ring hob and a microwave or combi-oven. Most have a dishwasher or washing machine as well. They are fine for your stay. Remember, you will be in Val d'Isere for a season adventure.
Your actual accommodation is allocated based on your arrival date and gender. We don't tend to mix boys with girls unless it is a group of friends or there are separate bedrooms. This means you do not know who you will be sharing with unless you requested that at the time of booking.
We do ask you to provide some basic information about yourself (such as gender, age, reason for doing a season, favourite music etc) and then our resort agent tries to match like minded people into the same property.
It's not a precise science but we do tend to get the combination right with house mates getting on well,. However, if there is ever an issue in an apartment , the local agent always try to move people around.
Most of these apartments are in Hameaux des Verdets or Verdets which are right next door to The Fall Line bar and in an area of Val which is a popular with seasonaires. The apartments are just 3/4 minutes walk from the centre of town, 150m from the lifts and in an area full of seasonaires. Others are located down at La Daille which is also close to the lifts and funicular.
