This Chalet was built in 2008 by local artisans with a focus on quality and attention to detail. It is superbly situated on the sunny south side of the valley with enviable views out over the village and the pistes. It’s a convenient 4 minute walk into the centre of Samoens but also has the advantage of being next door to the beautiful Suet Forest. Sightings of deer only metres from the chalet is not unusual especially for early risers!
The chalet has been furnished with a light and modern feel and all modern conveniences have been considered.
It has been arranged over 3 floors and has 205m2 of living space available plus an additional 20m2 of balcony and terrace space.
The ground floor
On the ground floor, there is a games room with a slate pool table, a beer fridge and a darts board, a seating and a storage area for outdoor wear, a partially hidden laundry area with two washing machines and two tumble dryers, two large cupboards here – one which contains the electricity board and the other which is used as storage.
There are two bedrooms both with en suites on this floor which are accessed from the games room via a corridor:
Bedroom #1 – this has two adult sized bunk beds, a wardrobe and a chest of drawers. There is also access onto the lovely south facing terrace. There is a private shower room (which has a stand alone shower, heated towel rail and vanity sink) and a additional WC to service this bedroom.
Bedroom #2 – this can either be made up as a king sized bed or two single beds. There is a wardrobe, a chest of drawers and a tub chair in this room. There is an en suite bathroom from this bedroom which contains a toilet, vanity sink, heated towel rail and a bath with a shower over it.
At the end of the corridor is a staircase which takes you up to the light and airy living floor of the chalet.
The centre of the living area is taken up with a beautiful bespoke staircase which acts as a gentle border between the living area and the dining area of this floor.
The first floor
On the living area side, there is a large seating area with a beautiful open fireplace and a very comfortable l-shaped sofa and chaise longue a bar area with another beer fridge and plenty of shelving for bottles and glasses. There is storage for books, DVDs, crockery and cutlery as well as two additional stand alone chairs for relaxing in. The whole living floor has a very light and sunny feel to it thanks to several large windows which open up onto the beautiful view of the valley.
In the evening, there is lots of low lighting to create a cosy and relaxed feel.
There are patio doors onto a balcony which houses the hot tub where you can relax in the bubbles after a day on the mountains and take in the beautiful views.
On the eating area side, there is a large wooden dining table which sits 10 comfortably but can sit up to 16 with the additional leaves which are available to add on.
There are three black pendent lights over the table as well as a standing lamp, at the bottom of the table, is a large window which looks out to the Grand Massif Express lift. Adjacent to the dining area, is a fully fitted kitchen with two single ovens, a large fridge freezer, a gas hob and a dishwasher. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with all the implements that you could need to take advantage of the all of the fresh local produce on our doorstep.
Around the corner from the kitchen is a WC and a balcony which houses the wood store.
The living area in total amounts to 73m2 allowing for plenty of space to relax comfortably.
The second floor
The beautiful glass and wood staircase takes you upstairs to three more bedrooms;
Bedroom #3 – this has a double bed, bedside table, a tub chair and a wardrobe as well as a large window with views over the valley and mountains. There is an ensuite bathroom with a standalone shower, toilet, heated towel rail and sink. There is also lots of storage hidden behind some sliding doors which can either be left open or locked. Behind these shelves is access to a large deep storage area under the eaves.
Bedroom #4 – this is the mirror image of the Bedroom #3, containing the same room layout, furniture and storage and looks out onto the back of the property.
Bedroom #5 – this has a double bed and a single bed tucked away under the eaves – perfect for little ones! There is also a large window overlooking the valley and an en suite bathroom with a shower over the bath, a toilet, a vanity sink and a heated towel rail.
