Ground Floor Layout
Bedrooms 1 & 2 - this large two-bedroom suite is ideal for family groups as it combines privacy with space. The master bedroom has a king size bed, a separate dressing area with a large wardrobe and access to the en-suite bathroom. The twin room is accessed through the main bedroom but has its own access to the dressing area and bathroom. The en-suite bathroom features a walk-in rain shower and free standing washbasin.
Ski Room - The Chalet has a private ski entrance with ski room, ski storage and boot warmers.
Laundry room - Fully equipped with washing machine, dryer, ironing facilities and storage areas.
First Floor Layout
The first floor is accessed from the main entrance doorway, opening onto a large hallway with the salon, powder room and a king size bedroom.
The Salon - Exceptionally comfortable, with custom-upholstered furniture, the light filled Salon offers two sitting areas; curl up with a good book, enjoy a leisurely aperitif in front of the log fire, or settle down in front of the large screen Apple TV.
The centrepiece of the Salon is undoubtedly the floor, a masterpiece by Annecy-based artist Gilles Giacomotti who has used a wood-staining technique to transform it into a bespoke artwork for Villa Rose.
Sunroom - The wood-panelled Victorian sunroom, with its glass panelled walls and hot pink sofa, is a veritable sun trap and a wonderful place for a morning coffee or whiling away an afternoon over a magazine or iPad.
Bedroom 3 - on the first floor, this room is a spacious and well-appointed room with large windows and a silver, black and white palette. With a king size bed beneath a feather chandelier and framed by feather bedside lamps, this is a serene, soft space to retreat to. Designer’s Guild and Sonia Rykiel fabrics and wallpapers complement the silver leaf furniture.
The second floor is accessed via the sweeping fuschia staircase which opens onto a bar area, kitchen, dining room and a large queen size bedroom.
Dining/KItchen - The open plan dining, kitchen area has a large square table seating up to 12 for a convivial banquet feel. In summer the front-of-villa balcony which overlooks the garden, is a sunny idyll for a coffee or an aperitif.
The kitchen is fully equiped with 2 ovens, induction cooktop, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher plus all cooking implements and equipment necessary.
Bar - At the top of the staircase on the landing there is a bar area with a wine fridge, glassware and bar accessories.
Bedroom 4 - dazzles and exudes opulence. Furniture is all custom-designed in Louis XV XVI style, using silver leaf to maximise the effect of light in this charming room and complement the crystal chandelier. Textured wallpaper, velvets, and bespoke linens from a small Atelier in Milan add warmth and contrast.
This bedroom offers a queen bed and walk-in dressing room. The large en-suite bathroom has two free-standing washbasins, a double ended roll-top soaking tub with hand shower and a walk-in rain shower.
Bedroom 5 - Located on the top floor, with both mountain and valley views, this bedroom has a queen size bed. Custom hand-painted furniture adorns the room and Designer’s Guild and Sonia Rykiel fabrics are used throughout – apart from the fuchsia cowhide rug! The en-suite bathroom features a roll top soaking tub and a large freestanding washbasin.
Bedroom 6 - also located on the top floor, this bedroom offers views of the Grand Massif and Sixt Fer a Cheval further down the valley – even better experienced from the small balcony. With a sophisticated but playful monochrome palette, the custom painted furniture is ‘French Rococo with a modern twist’. The en-suite bathroom has a walk-in rain shower and the bed is queen size.
